New center of Borovets - Rita Justesen's lecture and jury discussion

How are cities planned in Denmark? How are competitions organized? How do these processes compare with the Bulgarian practice? What are the current urban projects of Copenhagen, Sofia and Samokov, and what is next for the architectural competition for the New Center of Borovets?
All these questions will be answered on January 25, 2018, from 18:00 at Generator Sofia in the lecture of Arch. Rita Justessen, Director of Planning & Architecture at CPH City and Port Development, Denmark, as well as in the discussion with all jury members of the competition - Arch. Pavel Yanchev, Art & Build, Brussels, Belgium; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arch. Yordanka Kandulkova, Cultural Heritage Professor at UACEG; Marius Mowe, Co-founder of Oslo Atelier, Norway, arch. Vania Serafimova, Managing Partner at Serafimov Studio, Arch. Nadezhda Klincheva-Koleva, Chief Architect of Samokov Municipality and Angelina Vangelova, Lawyer and Secretary of Samokov Municipality.
The event will also feature the commissioning authority of the competition - the Municipality of Samokov, the organizers from Urbanistas. and arch.Ljubo Georgiev, Director of Sofproekt Sofia.
The event will be held just a day before the beginning of the jury process. The competition has received a total of 40 projects from 17 countries. The the top 5 projects and the winner will be announced on January 28, 2018.
